Gorgeous baby Grace!!

This cake smash theme was so fun to put together! Grace's mom was very specific in wanting lots of florals and to go in a boho direction. All of these fun cake smash sessions take place in my Sandy Utah photography studio and parents get to come with the theme set up, cake ready and a matching outfit to boot. We went with the pink peonies, some greenery, a cute tent with a lacy dream catcher and some twinkle lights to finish off the look.

After letting her play around a little bit, we pulled out her cake! A yummy white naked cake with buttercream frosting to add to the organic look! We added some of the florals from the set on top and a cute golden 1 candle to tie it all together! We had so much fun watching cute Grace dig into her cake! I can't imaging a better theme for her cake smash pictures!

After the cake portion of the smash I will usually pull out my cream tub and fill it with some warm water so that parents can take home a clean baby instead of one covered in frosting! And why miss out on the fun when we can take pictures of that too? Obviously, the smiles did not stop there. Baby Grace loved the splash portion and delighted us with the absolute best faces. She had the biggest smiles for her mom and dad! We sat down together in studio directly following her session to go through all the images and pick the best ones! Her parents decided to go with my personal favorite - 9 image collage frame to hang in her nursery as well as a gorgeous heirloom album they can look through and remember this fun time! 

I had the most fun celebrating her birthday with her and can't wait to celebrate with more sweet families the rest of this year!
