This cake smash theme was so fun to put together! All of these fun cake smashes take place in my Sandy Utah portrait studio and parents get to come with the theme set up, cake ready and a matching outfit to boot. We went with lots of jungle animals, twinkle lights, a forest background and lot of greenery for the set!  

His mom and I went back and forth about the outfit she wanted Gabriel to wear for his cake smash session and decided on the cutest little safari outfit with suspenders and a bow tie. We dressed him up and then pulled out his cake! It was an adorable cake decorated with a buttercream lion on the front. His parents raved over the taste and said they enjoyed the untouched portion at home! It was so fun to watch Gabriel taste the frosting at first and then dig in! 

After the cake portion of the smash I will usually pull out my cream tub and fill it with some warm water so that parents can take home a clean baby instead of one covered in frosting! And why miss out on the fun when we can take pictures of that too? Obviously, Gabriel LOVED the bath portion of the photo session and we got a ton of smiles and splashes. I had the most fun celebrating his birthday with him and can't wait to celebrate with more sweet families the rest of this year!
