This cake smash theme was so fun to put together! I met with Armani's parents and we talked about how his dad played baseball as a kid and they wanted to represent that in during the photo session. All of these fun cake smashes take place in my Sandy Utah portrait studio and parents get to come with the theme set up, cake ready and a matching outfit to boot. We went with lots of baseballs, cracker jacks, an old mitt and lot of red, white and blue for the set!  

We always start out with family pictures to help baby get a little acclimated to the environment. It's so fun to celebrate this huge milestone with a family picture. After we dressed up Armani in the cutest little striped pants and a baseball tee and then pulled out his cake! It was the cutest little cake decorated to be just like a baseball. His parents raved over the taste and said they enjoyed the untouched portion at home! It was so fun to watch Armani taste the frosting at first and then dig in! 

After the cake portion of the smash I will usually pull out my cream tub and fill it with some warm water so that parents can take home a clean baby instead of one covered in frosting! And why miss out on the fun when we can take pictures of that too? Obviously, Armani LOVED the bath portion of the photo session and we got a ton of smiles and splashes. I had the most fun celebrating her birthday with her and can't wait to celebrate with more sweet families the rest of this year!
