Adorable Elias!!

I have photographed Elias since he was in his mama's belly! His mom was on my baby plan so I got to see him as a newborn, 6 months and again at this cake smash! Elias's dad loves Flash so we had to incorporate that into the session. All of these fun cake smashes take place in my Sandy Utah portrait studio and parents get to come with the theme set up, cake ready and a matching outfit to boot. We went with the classic banner and balloon bunches because what could be more perfect for a first birthday cake smash session? We added in some confetti with all the red and yellow!

After letting him play around a little bit, we pulled out his cake! A simple yellow cake with a cute red 1 candle!! Elias's mom said he loves to eat and we had the best time watching him dig into his cake!

After the cake portion of the smash I will usually pull out my cream tub and fill it with some warm water so that parents can take home a clean baby instead of one covered in frosting! And why miss out on the fun when we can take pictures of that too? Obviously, the smiles did not stop there. Sweet Elias loved the splash portion and delighted us with the absolute best faces. I had the most fun celebrating his birthday with him and can't wait to celebrate with more sweet families the rest of this year!
