Welcoming a new life into the world is such an incredible experience. As a photographer, I feel so lucky to be able to capture these moments for families, and with baby Chance I was able to be there from the very beginning. 

Having previously photographed his mother's maternity pictures, I felt such a special connection to this sweet family. I can always feel the excitement and anticipation parents feel when they are about to meet their newborn and it was no different with them. 

When planning for the newborn session, I meet with parents in my Sandy Utah photography studio to go through my entire prop collection and stylize the shoot to their tastes and preferences. We decided on a white and blue color palette. The different hues of blue perfectly complimented Chance's dark hair and adding a touch of neutral helped pull the entire thing together. In addition, we decided to add in a few different prop shots for variety and Chance's parents fell in love with the adorable airplane I have in studio. This airplane I had primarily bought for cake smash sessions, but baby Chance was so sleepy and absolutely rocked this shot for his dad. 

The newborn session with Chance was such a beautiful experience, and the photographs completely captured all of his newborn details and how adored he is by his parents and it reminded me of why I am so passionate about newborn photography. Being able to witness and photograph such an important moment in a family's life is such a privilege.
